Jacqueline, a visionary entrepreneur and standout leader in business development, possesses a natural ability to forge meaningful connections in the realm of business networking. She has made a significant impact in the world of small businesses on Long Island. Her extensive academic and professional journey is characterized by hard work and dedication, yielding highly rewarding results, particularly in the various leadership roles she has held across multiple industries.
Hailing from the innovative city of Medellín, Colombia, Jacqueline is the third of four children. From a young age, she faced challenges that shaped her reflective and determined character, sparking a deep interest in aiding the less fortunate, particularly through education and mentorship. Jacqueline has showcased her versatility and leadership in the business world, achieving exceptional results in managerial roles both in the banking sector and other industries. However, her commitment extends beyond corporate success. Driven by a desire to contribute to the economic growth and well-being of underserved communities, she has remained deeply involved in community service and consulting—a passion and motivation she has sustained and amplified in the United States.
Since her arrival in the country in December 2008, accompanied by her two children, Jacqueline has been immersed in activities and projects aimed at contributing to the development and welfare of the community. She has contributed to business magazines, chambers of commerce, and developed numerous programs, offering valuable guidance to those seeking to thrive. Her impact as a business advisor at the SBDC of Stony Brook University over the past 6 years has been profound, assisting over 800 entrepreneurs in making significant investments in their businesses. They have learned about minority certifications, many have become certified to do business with the government, and have developed managerial skills, which is also reflected in job creation and retention.
Recognized for her dedicated efforts, Jacqueline has received numerous accolades, including the Americas SBDC State Star 2023, the Community Business Advocate of the Year 2023 by LIHCC, the Community Development Award 2022 by Revive Legacy, and the title of Community Hero by LIHBA. Her main source of inspiration is her children and family, whose support has been fundamental in achieving her results, as well as that of many others who have worked with her to assist more people on their path to progress and well-being.
